Election night 2015 will be one of the biggest political moments since the 2008 crash. What happens over the coming days will define policy making for the next generation of Britons.

Estimated General Election declaration times are based mainly on forecasts obtained from councils.

In some cases where councils are not prepared to give a forecast the estimate has been based on the time of the actual declaration at the 2010 general election, given that there have been no boundary changes since then.
These estimates can only be taken as a rough guide and are subject to change in the light of new information. Note that some estimates may not have taken sufficient account of the large number of English council and parish council elections taking place on May 7 which are likely to cause delays in declaring general election results.
London constituencies are expected to declare earlier than in 2010 as there are no London borough polls.
