Founder of the 50:50 Parliament Campaign

Frances Scott is the founder of the 50:50 Parliament Campaign petitioning Parliament to debate and take action to get better gender balance. 50:50 envisions a Parliament where men and women legislate the laws of our land, together in roughly equal numbers. They believe, like others, that when women participate in politics the effects ripple across society.

She had an international career in the Tourism industry for 20 years. She conducted market and economic feasibility studies on hotel developments internationally and was employed as an Operations Analyst by Hyatt International in Asia Pacific. She was the first women to be appointed in four of the roles she held. She set up and ran Birth Education Network for 15 years. She now runs antenatal courses for NCT. She has supported thousands of parents during birth and the early years.

She is married with four children and lives in London.
