Rees-Mogg Highlights Just How Out Of Touch He And Government Really Are

The latest 'trendy' Tory, Jacob Rees-Mogg, has described food banks as "rather uplifting" saying that the public's voluntary support "shows what a compassionate country we are". The Tory MP who represents North East Somerset spoke to LBC where he attributed the rise in the use of food banks to people "knowing that they are there" before claiming the previous Labour government had failed to inform people of their existence.

Trump's Condemnation Of The America He Encouraged

The problem is the alt-right is not keen to debate and reason, they hate political correctness, love Trump and probably won't read evidence based arguments against the things they believe in. I feel the only way we can fight this kind of hatred is by shaming those who do it, make those who parade Nazi flags and racist slogans around our streets feel ashamed of their vile views and make sure they know it is not socially acceptable to be racist or homophobic. We need to stamp out hatred peacefully and do it quickly before it catches.

The Story Of Girl 'X' Is Far From A One Off Case

It took many complaints, desperate emails and miserable doctors appointments just to have my medication reviewed by a psychiatrist; it tuned out to be a life changing and life-saving 30 minutes which changed everything for me. That review was something I had been asking for and consistently denied for over a year despite being stuck on a medication that wasn't working and with no plan for progress.

England Are In The Semi Final And The Lionesses Deserve Our Full Support

I hope you will join me in getting behind the Lionesses this Thursday. The Lionesses are one of the strongest England sides I've seen in my life time and I believe they will find a way to win. I would love to see even a fraction of the support and enthusiasm that the men get given to the women over the next week. They are working incredibly hard and let's hope it pays off in the coming game.

The Chaos And The Calm Of ADHD

<img alt="everybody banner" src="http://i.huffpost.com/gen/5399116/original.jpg" width="300" height="35" /> As someone who lived with ADHD for over two decades without knowing it was the cause for various struggles, situations and feelings, it felt like a blessing and a curse to be diagnosed. Adult ADHD was only officially recognised in 2008 and has often faced questions over whether it exists, overdiagnosis, underdiagnosis, misdiagnosis and every other slur under the sun

Fire Fighters, Amongst Others, Deserve So Much More

We often take public services for granted until we need them. One day you're well, working and standing but you're only a day away from needing the welfare system, the NHS, police assistance or the fire service and that needs to be recognised by us and especially by those in power. It's time to start treating those who risk their life and wellbeing daily and save hundreds and thousands of lives a year with the respect, care and compassion they really deserve.

We Need To Start Listening To Experts Again

Top experts need to be involved and above everything else listened to on key issues to provide solutions to the problems that pose a threat to society and humanity. That is the only way that we will be able to move forward on a progressive path without facing disaster at home, abroad or globally.

Manchester Arena, The Show Will Always Go On

Music and art speak to everyone. If fears are confirmed that this was an attack, then we must show our strength and our resilience through our love and kindness for the musical community and beyond. Nobody will divide us. The show will always go on.

Why Has Mental Health Been A Taboo In Sport For So Long?

It would be huge for those in sport to follow in the footsteps of Prince Harry and talk about Mental Health publically just the way retired sports people have like Frank Bruno. It has a huge effect on the perception of Mental Health and gives others from all walks of life the courage to seek help or simply have a conversation about the subject.

Time For Cool Heads, We Have Opportunity For Change In June

Enough of the division, speculation and ridicule. We have a General Election coming, we have Jeremy Corbyn steering Labour. That is what we must deal with. This is a very welcomed opportunity to ensure that we don't continue down the road of relentless Austerity and the dismantling of society that we need to grasp with both hands and use to force the Tories out.

The Myth Of The Millenial Snowflakes

The drugs, the appointments, the mental health problems, the suicidal thoughts that I have to face on the regular in my day to day life as I still push on with my life shows much more resilience and strength than all of the over-40s snowflake internet Twitter troll club have put together and that goes for my fellow sufferers and fighters too.

The Story Of My Life With Undiagnosed ADHD

I feel that ADHD is one of the top most stigmatised mental health and learning disabilities. People just don't know the seriousness of it and many even believe it's a myth or an excuse. It's just a simple lack of knowledge on the condition which why I wanted to share a little abstract of my experience today. I'm not Lazy, I'm not crazy and I'm not stupid. I have ADHD and with the right treatment or support I will succeed in life.

The Farming Crisis, Is Enough Being Done?

A recent report published by the charity Oxfam revealed that hill farmers work on average 80 hours a week, over double that of the average full time worker and that many farming families find themselves living below the poverty line here in the UK. The report claims that upland farmers earn between £12,600 and £8,000 a year.

Nick Griffin's 'right to discriminate'

While I support the right to free speech and feel that should be protected from the street to the World Wide Web, I believe we have no right to discriminate against anyone for any matter, especially when it can effect the discriminated and inflame stereotypes further, which only holds back the positive progression of society and humanity.
