Peter Kessler

Former TV producer, author and founder of Eden Primary School

Peter Kessler worked as a TV producer for many years, making comedy and factual programmes. He won a BAFTA award for ‘The Mrs Merton Show’, and was also the original producer of ‘So Graham Norton’. His BBC documentary ‘I Met Adolf Eichmann’ won the New York Festivals’ History Award, and he also made arts programmes, magic shows, and even a dog show.

He retired from TV in 2005. Most recently, he has founded Eden Primary, the first Jewish school in the UK that welcomes all children irrespective of their religious backgrounds.

Peter is the author of ‘The Complete Guide to Asterix’, an in-depth study of the French cartoon character. His hobbies include watching old German movies, long-distance walking and volunteering with Forest School Camps. He is married to Dinah Rose, a leading human rights barrister, and they have two children, Hannah and Katie.
