The chart-topping singer, who enjoyed a successful performing career after finding fame on ITV's Pop Idol, died aged 41 in August last year.
The former Pop Idol star died last month, as a result of "inhalation of chloroethane" and "suffocation".
The chart-topping singer and actor was found dead in his US apartment, in Rochester, Minnesota, last month at the age of 41.
The former Pop Idol judge described the singer's death as "an absolute tragedy".
"He had such a natural warmth about him. Rest in peace lovely man."
Following his Pop Idol success, Darius released the number-one hit Colourblind and later began a career in the theatre.
