New anti-Rafael Benítez banners were on display at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea enjoyed a comfortable 1-0 Premier League win against West Brom.

Demba Ba scored the only goal as the Blues made it two wins in four days ahead of their Europa League and FA Cup ties with Steaua Bucharest and Manchester United next week.

Benítez described the atmosphere as "more positive", despite the latest slew of messages from fans venting their antipathy with the former Liverpool manager.

After Chelsea's win at Middlesbrough on Wednesday Benítez criticised supporters for making such banners, insisting they were "wasting their time", and also lamented the board for referring to him as the club's "interim manager".

"The atmosphere was good so, before you start asking about fans, I'm really pleased with the fans behind the team," Benítez said.
