Gareth Bale spared Chris Coleman from further embarrassment as Wales nicked a 2-1 win at Andorra, however their travelling supporters provided ample amusement.

Bale's brilliant winner sparked an appropriately ramshackle pitch invasion from inebriated and long-suffering Welshmen as their team threatened to register another humiliating result.

The team were jeered during another unconvincing performance under the much-maligned Coleman, who signed a new two-year deal in November, as Wales fell 1-0 behind.

Bale levelled, though, and deflation turned to elation when the Real Madrid forward rescued Wales with a magnificent 81st-minute set-piece. The advertising hoardings came down and the corner lost its flag during the unchoreographed celebrations.
