Olympic attendants will be given one more chance to nab a seat at London 2012 when almost one million tickets go on sale on Friday.

Seats for all 26 sports - which include a small amount for the sprint finals - will go on sale at 11am for those fans who applied a year ago but were unsuccessful in the ballot.

The sales will see 20,000 people who failed twice already have an exclusive one-day pick of all remaining London 2012 seats in a “golden tickets” window.

This enables those who missed out in the March and June windows last year to get the first opportunity. They will be informed by organisers of their privilege via email on Tuesday.

However each person will be limited to applying for one session and a maximum of four tickets.

And for the first time, 70,000 Olympic park tickets will be sold, allowing supporters access to watch events on big screens. Those tickets will cost £10 or £5 for those aged 16 or under or 60 or over.

The London 2012 chairman, Sebastian Coe, said: "We know thousands of sports fans were disappointed when they missed out in the initial sales period because of the massive demand for tickets.

"We promised we would prioritise these fans when we released the contingency tickets, which is exactly what we are doing."
