Chris Evans, host of ‘Top Gear’ and cars enthusiast, has been in the public eye for over 20 years, first rising to prominence as a Radio 1 DJ, hosting a Sunday afternoon show, ‘Too Much Gravy’. After moves to Virgin Radio and TV jobs like ‘The Big Breakfast’, Chris eventually landed the coveted position of hosting the Radio 1 breakfast show in 1995.
Around this time, he reached the height of his popularity, presenting ‘TFI Friday’ for Channel 4, a live music show that quickly garnered a cult following. Chris hosted ‘TFI Friday’ for four years, stepping down for its final series, which was presented by a string of guest hosts, including the Spice Girls and ‘Big Brother’ housemates.
His career began to dwindle after he fronted ‘OFI Sunday’, intended to be a Sunday evening version of ‘TFI Friday’. However, he returned to TV in 2010, when he took over from Adrian Chiles on ‘The One Show’, and now hosts the breakfast show on BBC Radio 2.
Away from the limelight, Chris is known for his vast collection of Ferraris. He was previously married to Carol McGiffin and Billie Piper, before marrying his current wife, Natasha Shishmanian in 2007.
