Liverpool Rejected By Ajax Coach Frank De Boer

Reds Rejected Again - De Boer To Stay With Ajax

Ajax coach Frank de Boer has ruled himself out of the running for the vacant managerial post at Liverpool.

The Anfield club have compiled a long list of potential candidates after they sacked Kenny Dalglish last week.

De Boer, 41, however has insisted he will remain with the Eredivisie champions, who he has guided to back-to-back titles.

The Dutchman told De Telegraaf: "I am honoured by the request, but I am only just getting started with Ajax.

"In Amsterdam we are on a new path and, along with the club and Wim Jonk and Dennis Bergkamp, my colleagues in the technical team, I want to do great things. That's why I will stay loyal to Ajax in the coming years."

Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers rejected an opportunity to speak to Liverpool on Friday, although the Reds were granted permission to speak to Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez.
