Olympics 2012: Team GB's Men's Eight Boat Line-Up

Team GB Men's Eight: Who's In The Boat?

Great Britain's men's eight boat is stroked by the young but charismatic Constantine Louloudis, who has just returned after a back injury.

Heading up the powerhouse, he's got the energy to take the eight into the top three. Studying Classics at Oxford University, Louloudis, who weighs in at 94kg, started rowing in 2007, because he was "rubbish at cricket".

The 20-year-old learnt to row on Dorney Lake, home to Eton College's boat club, so he should know the lie-out like the back of his hand.

Although the men's hopes of gaining gold are slim, they're expected to reach the podium, and still believe they can beat the formidable German crew. Despite racing with their current crew for the first time this season, the men powered through the repechage on Monday without breaking a sweat.

But they need to up the speed in the first 500m to put pressure on the US and Germany - the team's main challengers.
