Prince Charles attended the Wimbledon Championships for the first time in 42 years, along with the Duchess of Cornwall.

The Prince took his seat in the Royal Box on Centre Court alongside Sir Bruce Forsyth and wife Wilnelia to watch five-times SW19 champion Roger Federer take on Fabio Fognini.

Both players bowed prior to their second round match.

Yesterday the Prince christened a Team GB Olympic sailing boat during a surprise visit to Weymouth.
