Roberto Mancini has signed a new five-year contract with Manchester City worth almost £38m.
The Italian, who in 2011 ended City's 35-year wait for a trophy by guding the club to an FA Cup win before last year leading the Citizens to their first league title since 1968, will earn £7.5m annually, rising from £4.75m.
His new contract - which runs until June 2017 - leaves him only behind Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho in the managerial pay stakes.
Mancini, 47, arrived at Eastlands in December 2009 after Mark Hughes was sacked by the club having been appointed 18 months previously.
Although City would narrowly miss out on a Champions League spot in 2009/10, they rose to third in the table the following season, before leapfrogging rivals Manchester United with a dramatic injury-time winner on the final day of the season to claim the Premier League title.
Here's Mancini's time in Manchester in pictures...
