Roma 1-0 Chievo: Serie A Leaders Win 10th Consecutive Match (PICTURES)

Roma made it a record 10 wins from their 10 opening Serie A games with a 1-0 triumph over Chievo at Stadio Olimpico.

Marco Borriello scored the only goal of the game in the 67th minute as Rudi Garcia's men moved five points clear of second-placed Napoli and Juventus, who lie in third.

Roma's start is all the more remarkable after they sold Erik Lamela, Pablo Osvaldo and Marquinhos for a total of £57.7 million in the summer.

But without European obligations, the Giallorossi have thrived. New arrivals Kevin Strootman, Adem Ljajic and Morgan de Sanctis have impressed, along with Arsenal misfit Gervinho.

They have scored 24 goals and sieved just one from the 10 games, beating Lazio, Napoli and Internazionale during their run.

The slender margin of victory against Chievo was not a fair reflection of Roma's complete dominance, with the visitors only managing to create a single chance on goal.
