There ain't no window like a Levy window, and Tottenham's avaricious chairman could be back to his old ways to scupper any Arsenal deal for Julian Draxler.

Even though he waited until the penultimate day of the summer transfer window to green light Gareth Bale's move to Real Madrid, it wasn't late enough for Levy. Why? Because it allowed Madrid to offload Mesut Özil to Arsenal, a transfer that is primarily responsible for the Gunners' resurgence under Arsène Wenger, while Tottenham, although only seven points off the Barclays Premier League summit, bought seven players and still won't finish above their north London rivals.

Levy has form for such selfishness as far back as swindling £18.6 million from Manchester United for Michael Carrick. It is often to Spurs' detriment, although the Yid Army might forgive him for not selling Lewis Holtby this month. Tim Sherwood, apparently intent on issuing a number of "f**k you"s at André Villas-Boas, with Etienne Capoue also apparently up for sale six months after he joined, could also sell Lewis Holtby, who only arrived at White Hart Lane a year ago.

Schalke reportedly want to re-sign Holtby to offset the possible (probable?) loss of Draxler to Arsenal, which is something any Tottenham fan does not want to see.

Hands up who doesn't want to play for Tim Sherwood

Kevin de Bruyne is set to leave Chelsea to ensure he is on the Belgian plane to the World Cup, and Spurs winger Nacer Chadli, another Villas-Boas signing last year, could apparently follow suit, claim the Star.

The Southampton situation could lead to the departures of Luke Shaw and Rickie Lambert, with the former attracting interest from the Manchester clubs and Chelsea, while West Ham want Lambert.

Rafael Benítez didn't get to work with Michael Essien during his six months in charge at Chelsea, but is apparently keen on bringing the Ghanian to Napoli, write the Sun. That'd be quite the slap in the face for "daddy" Mourinho.

David Moyes took some flak for shopping at Everton in the summer and Manchester United have been linked with another Evertonian, namely Everton Ribeiro.

The 24-year-old Brazilian's agent says an unnamed English club have had a bid rejected for him by Cruzeiro.

Moyes clocked up more air miles on Wednesday night when he jetted out to Naples, where he watched Napoli's Slovakian playmaker Marek Hamšík.

And Fulham will have to double their £8m offer for Ravel Morrison, West Ham have told them.
