Germany threw away a 4-0 lead in Berlin as Sweden earned a sensational 4-4 draw with a 93rd minute equaliser courtesy of Rasmus Elm.

The Germans lead 3-0 at half-time thanks to a Miroslav Klose double and a Per Mertesacker goal before Mesut Özil made it 4-0 on 55 minutes.

With 28 minutes left, Zlatan Ibrahimović struck before Mikael Lustig doubled the Swedes' tally two minutes later to cause concern for the Mannschaft.

Johan Elmander made it 4-3 14 minutes later before Elm confirmed the spirit of Cheick Tioté was alive to snatch the point with a goal three minutes into stoppage time.

"I don't know how to describe it," said the usually loquacious Ibrahimović. Joachim Löw agreed almost verbatim.

"I don't know how to explain it," was all the German coach could offer.
