Leighton Baines's late equaliser for Everton at Stoke City on New Year's Day set a Premier League record for penalty conversions.

Baines, 29, is the only player in the League's 21-and-a-half-year history to have taken at least 10 penalties and scored every one.

He has scored 11 in total, having netted his first spotkick for Wigan Athletic at Manchester United on Boxing Day in 2006.

The Merseysider has not got a perfect record from 12 yards out, however. Although he scored in the 2009 FA Cup semi-final shootout against United, he was denied by Petr Čech in the Toffees' fourth-round tie at Chelsea in 2011. Everton did, however, beat the Blues after Baines struck a late equaliser in extra-time.

The left-back was also denied by Čech in a League Cup match in the same year.
