Paolo di Canio breathed new life into his animated outbursts at the weekend during Swindon Town's 2-2 draw with Coventry City.

The Robins, lying in the last of the play-off places, were leapfrogged by Notts County after they failed to defeat lowly Coventry at the County Ground.

And that didn't go down too well with their Italian manager despite his team coming from two goals down to earn a draw.

Despite his visible annoyance, Di Canio said he was "very happy with the reaction", but conceded Swindon's domination should not have plunged them into a two-goal deficit.

He was also armed with an impressive statistic as he aired a usually frank and critical outburst of his own side.

"(We were in their box) 32 times and we didn't score. We need a top striker. We have to do more," he stressed.
