PSV Eindhoven supporters expressed their outrage at plans to install wi-fi at the club's Philips Stadion with an explicit banner.
"Fuck wi-fi, support the team," read a message, perfect English, displayed by supporters during their 6-1 thrashing of NAC Breda in the Eredivisie on Saturday.
PSV fans explicitly stated their opposition to the Philips Stadion's wi-fi installation
Fliers featured a cross struck through the wi-fi logo as the hardcore contingent encouraged matchgoers to avoid checking their devices.
An increasing number of spectators are following the coverage of games on Twitter and other social media sites despite having a ticket for the game. Manchester United last week banned iPads from being brought inside Old Trafford, a move that was met with nationwide approval.
