One of the most inexplicable sights at the Sochi Winter Olympics so far has been the sight of US and Canadian coaches wearing monkey masks up a tree.

The pair watched the downhill portion of the men's supercombined from their perch, although no one seems to know why they donned the masks.

Perhaps they are hopeful of seeing some monkey tennis.
