Tottenham beat Arsenal yesterday in a three goal thriller at White Hart Lane. Spurs came out on top in the North London derby as they replicated last years match which ended 2-1 to the home team.
Gareth Bale put Tottenham ahead shortly before the break beating Wojciech Szczesny after a brilliant through ball beat the leaking Arsenal defence, and just minutes later Aaron Lennon doubled the score with a carbon copy goal.
Gareth Bale became the highest scoring Welshman in a Premier League season
Per Mertersacker put Arsenal back in the game shortly after the restart, but they failed to capitalise on several missed chances which saw their fierce rivals pull 7 points clear in the race for the final Champions League spot.
