Paris Saint-Germain have announced the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from AC Milan for a fee of around €23m.
Ibrahimovic, 30, will make €12.5m per year in a three-year deal with the Parisians, as he prepares to play for the seventh club of his career.
He will undergo a medical on Wednesday and be unveiled at a press conference.
Former Milan player and coach Leonardo, now sporting director at PSG, announced on Tuesday: "the deal is done. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is our player. He will undergo the medical check-ups tomorrow".
Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola meanwhile gushed that "Paris has one more reason to be considered a city full of beauty, with the arrival of Ibra".
The Qatar Investment Authority bought a 70 per cent stake in PSG last year and continue to back coach Carlo Ancelotti, who won the Champions League twice with Milan.
Ezequiel Lavezzi, the maverick Argentine attacker who starred for Napoli over the past two seasons, has already joined the club this summer after compatriot Javier Pastore also left Serie A and Palermo for PSG last year.
In June, Milan rejected Paris St-Germain's proposed world record fee of €46m (£37.5m) for Brazilian Thiago Silva, who would have become the most expensive defender in football's history.
Rossoneri owner Silvio Berlusconi said the Serie A side had "no intention" of selling the international, however the former Italian prime minister could still renege on his pledge.
Rio Ferdinand's £29.1m transfer to Manchester United from Leeds United in 2002 remains a world record sum for a defender.
