The Grand National, horse racing's greatest steeplechase, is nearly upon us and to prepare you for the Saturday race here is a quick guide to the showpiece occasion.
Channel 4 will again televise the Grand National live, with the programme beginning at 1pm, three-and-a-quarter hours before the race.

Prior to the main event, the Mersey Novices' Hurdle will commence the day's racing at 1.30pm, while the Weatherbys Champion Open Flat Race brings the day to a close at 5.45pm.
The Grand National Race will start at 4.15pm.
