Ryan Giggs says he wants to put the smiles back onto Manchester United supporters' faces, and the players appear to have perked up after his ascension to player-manager.

The first pictures of Giggs, flanked by former teammates Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville, taking training have been published a day before the Welshman's first match in charge against Norwich City.
