George Osborne Goes Running After Ed Balls' Jibe

It's Not Just Spending On The Economy Which Is Thinning

Less than 24 hours after his biggest political rival threw jabs at him for not keeping fit, George Osborne hit the streets in his gym kit to go running.

On BBC1's Marr programme Ed Balls joked that Osborne should "quit all this chancellor game and come running with me. Get fit even if the economy's not."

Balls, for those who don't know, is a keen runner who has completed the London Marathon.

It must be stressful trying to rescue the British economy.
