Change My Mind: Should Britain Help Arm Syrian Rebels?

Should The UK Arm Syrian Rebels?
|

Last week the foreign secretary, William Hague, revealed that the British government is planning to ramp up its support to rebels in Syria.

Hague said he had already ordered "more active efforts" to aid the opposition in their war against the president, Bashar al-Assad, after securing a relaxation of an EU arms embargo to allow the provision of non-lethal military equipment to protect civilians.

This week, the Prime Minister suggested that the government may break the EU's embargo in order to provide lethal equipment, too.

Can they change your mind?
