David Cameron Says He Is Really 'Pumped' For The Last 10 Days Of The Election

David Cameron Is 'PUMPED'... Although These Pictures Show Otherwise

It is just 10 days until the election and David Cameron is "pumped". In a speech on Monday morning, the prime minister insisted he was "bloody lively" about the campaign, following mutterings that he did not seem to really want to win on May 7.

"If you think I'm going to roll over in the next 10 days and let Ed Miliband and Alex Salmond wreck that, you've got another thing coming. We have got a fight on our hands and I am going to win that fight. It's a battle for the backbone of Britain, that's what this election is about," he declared.

He added: "Taking a risk, having a punt, having a go, that pumps me up."

"I’m a Conservative," he said. "We love our county deeply, we often don’t wear our passion on our sleeve. Don’t ever mistake that for not caring passionately about what we are doing."

Speaking in central London, an animated and red cheeked Cameron said he would "work the hardest I have ever worked in my life" over the next 10 days to win the election. "We’ve got a fight on our hands," he added.

Although Cameron was in a punchy mood, pictures from the event appeared to show the up tempo performance may have take a toll on the prime minister.

Cameron delivered a similarly punchy speech in Somerset on Sunday, when he said Labour should stick its economic plan "where the sun don't shine".
