With the revelation that Buzz Aldrin claimed a very small amount in expenses when he travelled from Earth to the Moon, a look at some recent MPs expenses produces some bizarre comparisons.

With $33 dollars in 1969 worth roughly £165 at today’s exchange rate, Buzz claimed an astonishing $0.0000690796 for each of the 477, 710 miles travelled.
