Presidential Candidate Delivers His Vision For America... To A Bearded Man Called 'Kenneth'

NEW YORK -- Martin O’Malley is running for President. The former Governor of Maryland is contesting the Democratic nomination, alongside Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.

Fighting against better-known adversaries has made O’Malley's campaign an uphill battle, a task that was hindered further on Monday when a nasty winter storm hit his latest campaign stop in Iowa… resulting in only one voter turning up.

Still, the Democrat, who has won plaudits for his style and clarity, pressed on, delivering his vision for the future of the United States to “Kenneth,” pictured below.

Remarkably, Kenneth refused to commit to support O’Malley in the upcoming Iowa Caucus, despite his one-to-one meeting with the presidential candidate.

The sole voter did, however, tell O’Malley he had a "great platform to be running" and "a great future here in Iowa."

“I give you a lot of credit for coming out here... I’m glad you took the time,” Kenneth added, according to local journalist Sarah Beckman.

Speaking to MSNBC on Tuesday, the candidate said: "The very last event of the night, we actually had a whopping total of one person show up, but by God, he was glad to see me. So we spent the time with him.”

This type of incident doesn’t just blight US politicians. Here's a story about Nigel Farage giving a barnstorming speech in Washington DC to a room of empty chairs.
