These people of Scotland will not be quiet and do as they are told, nor will they let political parties or the media tell them what they can or cannot do, and it s them who day by day claim their Claim of Right, and the people shall have their day no matter what the Big Beats growl

As the old saying goes, every dog has it's day, and for the people of Scotland that comes on 18 September this year. On that day we exercise our sovereignty for the first time in many a long age, and lest there be any doubt on that matter, under the Claim of Right in the Declaration of Arbroath, no King is sovereign over the people of Scotland, but is only there by assent of the people, and it is they the people who have ultimate sovereignty. .

The Declaration of Arbroath which claimed Independence for Scotland is also famous for being the basis for the American Declaration of Independence .

In England and in Westminster it is held that the Monarch is sovereign, and Westminster is answerable to on her behalf, but this concept has never replaced the sovereignty of the Scots people, as the 1320 claim of Right in Scotland has never been rescinded and remains on the statute books in Scots Law till this day.

By in large the people of Scotland have forgotten what power they have, it is not widely broadcast lest we actually apply our sovereignty, and sack the Queen and Royal family.

Although this popular sovereignty has dimmed from peoples minds, we are at last seeing the stirrings of that long forgotten power, not that we intend to sack Elizabeth the First of Scotland of course, but rather in the peoples awareness that they do have a real say in what happens to Scotland.

Every dog has it's day, and so do people. The saying originates in ancient Greece :

"According to the medieval Dutch scholar Erasmus, the saying came about as a result of the death of the Greek playwright Euripides, who in 405 B.C. was mauled and killed by a pack of dogs loosed upon him by a rival. Thus the saying is usually taken to mean that even the most lowly person will at some time get revenge on his oppressor, no matter how powerful the man may be."

And lets face it what we are seeing more and more of is the Big Beasts of the British establishment being loosed on us. Lining up to save the Interests of Westminster are the established political parties and their assorted politicians and Lords. The establishment self interest groups such as the British Trade Unions who do Labours bidding and oppose independence without consultation of their Scottish membership, The CBI who have registered as a campaign group for Better Together without consulting their Scottish members, many who are immediately resigning as a result.

The media on the whole is supportive of the British establishment, apart from those few who attempt fairness and balance, and finally the BBC who are as much establishment as can be and as balanced as a one legged duck on a pogo stick in this matter.

As these people and establishments come out with more and more dire warnings to Scots, it is not so much the Scots politicians who are carrying the fight, nor even the official spokespeople of the YES campaign, but rather the people of Scotland themselves.

Despite every effort to sideline the people, to keep their voices out of debate in the media, we see and hear them daily, taking to the streets and communities, carrying the argument for independence for all who will hear, and the rest, the infamous shock troops the Cybernats, fighting the information war on social media, and in blogs across the internet.

These people of Scotland will not be quiet and do as they are told, nor will they let political parties or the media tell them what they can or cannot do, and it s them who day by day claim their Claim of Right, and the people shall have their day no matter what the Big Beats growl
