|

MPs are debating whether there should be a referendum on Britain's relationship with the European Union.

Both David Cameron and Ed Miliband have imposed a three-line whip on their MPs in an attempt to force them to vote against the motion.

In all 72 MPs signed the motion that calls for a referendum as of Monday morning, 59 of them are Conservatives, seven are Labour and seven are members of the Democratic Unionist Party.

The House of Commons is expected to vote on the motion at 10pm on Monday.
