An erotic video depicting Lord Sewel engaged in drug taking with prostitutes has given Fleet Street plenty to talk about.
As chair of the House of Lords standards committee, Sewel had more reason than most to be aware of how his delectations might be perceived by the public.
And despite blogging about the risks scandals pose to the reputation of Parliament, Sewel still found himself caught up in one less than a week later.
But he's far from alone in suffering humiliation after a sex or drugs political scandal...
