The Bishops Avenue, in Highgate, North London, has been dubbed "Billionaires' Row" for all the wealthy residents who live there.

A recent Guardian investigation found that 16 of the properties are lying empty and have not been used for decades, with one resident suggesting only three of the homes on the street are occupied full-time.

Desmond, the broadcasting magnate who is boss of Channel 5 and the Daily Star, reportedly owns two houses on Bishops Avenue. He's definitely one for the area as he is sitting on an estimated £2 billion fortune.

Andreas Panayiotou, a property developer whose fortune is estimated to be worth over £400m, has tried to sell his 15-bedroom Heath Hall for £65 million. It was originally built for sugar magnate William Lyle of Tate & Lyle and boasts hand-carved marble baths and an oak-clad snooker room.

The luxury 'Dryades' super-mansion became the UK's most valuable repossession after being seized from the family of ex-Pakistani government minister Waqar Ahmed Khan by Deutsche Bank.The 8,000 square-foot home was seized from the Pakistani political dynasty after a High Court battle and is now on the market for £30m, with plans in motion to knock it down and replace it with a giant new mansion.
