A man who claims to be regularly abducted by aliens has taken solace in painting pictures of his other-worldly experiences.

David Huggins says he has been encountering extra terrestrials since the age of 8, and that he even lost his virginity to a female alien named ‘Crescent’.

Now 70, the New Jersey native is chronicling the events in a series of surrealist impressionist oil paintings.

Appearing in a teaser uploaded to Vimeo for for upcoming documentary Love and Saucers: The Far Out World Of David Huggins, he explained Crescent is “one of the large women”.

When asked if he had sex with her, he replied: “Yes. I don’t know much, but I do know for sure I lost my virginity to an extra terrestrial woman.”

In addition to Crescent, further beings he says he has encountered include “the greys, the little hairy guy, the insect being.”

He said: “They came into my bedroom and then we’d float up.”

Of Crescent’s sexual interest in him, he said: “I just lay down on the ground and she got on top of me. I have no idea why me. I just don’t know.

The 70-year-old paints images of his alien experiences, including the loss of his virginity to 'Crescent'

One piece of Huggins’s art shows a group of naked alien women holding extra terrestrial babies – babies he says he has fathered.

Documentary director Brad Adams told Animal: “I believe what he experienced was real to him.”

Of Crescent, the magazine writes: “At 17, on his way through a Georgia forest to a lake, Huggins saw her sitting by a tree. She appeared human, expcept for her large, black eyes, a pale, pointy face and the wig.

“She disrobed. He disrobed. He laid down. She got on top. They consummated the start of their long-time and very long-distance romance.”

Stories about sex with aliens are not uncommon.

He also claims to have fathered numerous alien babies

Two years ago Labour councillor Simon Parkes claimed he fathered a child named Zarka with an alien.

He added the regular sex he continued to have with the extra terrestrial (whom he referred to as the Cat Queen) was starting to cause tension within his human marriage.

The father-of-three (human) children also claims his “real mother” is a 9ft tall alien with eight fingers.

Recounting his experiences in a YouTube clip, he described his extra terrestrial mother as having “human features” with a kite-shaped face, huge eyes, two tiny holes for a nose and a thin mouth.

He said: “I’m only telling you what I’ve seen, they could be lying to me. The reason why extra-terrestrials are interested in me is not because of my physical body but what’s inside – my soul.

“These reptiles are guilty as hell. They have apologised several times to me. They have said they are sorry for what they have done to your people.”

Photographer Steven Hirsch’s project Little Sticky Legs sees images of alien abductees and their own drawings of their experiences.

“Are these people telling the truth? I don’t know,” Hirsch told the Huffington Post.

Some scientists are inclined to believe stories about alien abduction are caused by sleep paralysis - a disorder which is the result of a disconnect between brain and body as a person hovers on the fringe of sleep.

The New York Times says the disorder is "turning out to be increasingly common, affecting nearly half of all people at least once.

"Moreover, a growing number of scholars believe that sleep paralysis may help explain man ancient reports of attacks by witches and modern claims of abductions by space aliens."

Dr Al Cheyne, an associate professor of psychology at the University of Waterloo in Canada told the newspaper of a survey he had worked on involving more than 2,000 people identified as experiencing sleep paralysis, with hundreds describing experiences similar to alien abduction.

He said: ''A sensed presence, vague gibberish spoken in one's ear, shadowy creatures moving about the room, a strange immobility, a crushing pressure and painful sensations in various parts of the body - these are compatible not just with an assault by a primitive demon but also with probing by alien experimenters.

''And the sensations of floating and flying account for the reports of levitation and transport to alien vessels.''
