Berlin Wall 25th Anniversary: Fall Of The Wall Marked With Light And Balloon Release (PICTURES)

Amazing Pictures Of Light And Balloons To Mark The Fall Of The Berlin Wall
|

Berlin celebrated a quarter century since the its wall came down with a huge concert, fireworks and light display at its one of the city's most famous landmarks.

The Brandenburg Gate was immediately next to the wall and scenes of some of the most jubilant scenes when it fell on November 9, 1989.

On Sunday, it was the centre piece for a huge light display and concert by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

Hundreds of luminous white helium balloons, which have been forming a 'light border' that marked the course the wall used to run in recent days, were released into the air.
