This British Advert Cost Just £10 To Make - And It Might Air During The Super Bowl

First Eddie Redmayne - now James Bedford?

Yes, another Englishman is in the running for American glory after his advert was chosen as one of the final 10 in Doritos 2015 'Crash The Super Bowl' competition.

Bedford is a freelance director who entered the contest with his 'Doritos Angler' advert - which he also stars in, and which was the only British commercial to reach the final. He told the Daily Telegraph that he was "super excited" to make the final of the annual competition and "really didn't expect to get this far".

Doritos has been running the competition - which is open to professional and amateur video-makers worldwide - since 2007. From the 10 finalists, a grand-prize winner is chosen by the public (you can vote for your favourite here) while a first-prize winner is selected by Doritos. Both adverts air during the coveted Super Bowl broadcast - but the grand-prize winner also gets $1 million and "a dream job at Universal Pictures".

That's right: James Bedford's video - which cost him just £10 to make and which he filmed near Andover - stands to make him £660,000 (as well as the £25,000 he's already earned for getting to the final).
