British comedian John Oliver set about dismantling those who deny climate change on his HBO show Last Week Tonight on Sunday evening, following last week’s publication of a new US government report that offered a grim outlook for the earth should carbon emissions continued unchecked.
Citing a recent poll that said one in four Americans are sceptical about global warning, Oliver responded “who gives a sh*t?”
The former Daily Show host added: "You don't need people’s opinion on a fact. You might as well have a poll asking: ‘Which number is bigger, 15 or 5?’ or ‘Do owls exist?’ or ‘Are there hats?'"
