Nicolas Cage Meets Nicolas Cage Waxwork In Bizarre Paris Press Event (VIDEO & PICTURES)

Adaptation fans, rejoice! A decade after Spike Jonze and the Kaufmans' award-winning drama hit cinemas, Nic Cage has actually met Nic Cage. Well, a Nic Cage waxwork, at least.

Bumping into his doppelganger at Paris's Musee Grevin, the bizarre moment saw the Face/Off star standing next to a much older-looking (and frankly, slightly taller) version of himself, before posing for photographs and attempting to surprise his body double with loud noises.

It was all part of Cage's recent publicity tour promoting Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance, the pseudo-sequel to 2007's much-maligned Ghost Rider.

Over the past week or so, we've heard him talk about shouting "Merry Christmas you assholes!" at the film's wrap party, whittling logs into staffs and the possibility of a Wicker Man sequel:

"I would like to hook up with one of the great Japanese filmmakers, like the master that made Ringu, and I would like to take the Wicker Man to Japan, except this time he's a ghost..." he told EmpireOnline.com.

There's no doubt about it, the man's an eccentric. An eccentric with a waxwork in Paris that doesn't do him justice, but an eccentric nonetheless.
