On Monday night, celebrity chef Nigella Lawsontreated us to a new TV show in which she showcased a truly stunning recipe - avocado on toast.

Needless to say, not everyone was blown away by the simple act of mashing up avocado and putting it on toast.

This is a truly rustic and exotic dish.

  1. 1. Slice bread
  2. 2. Add cheese to one slice of bread
  3. 3. Place another slice of bread on top of the cheese
  4. 4. Cut in half

A wonderfully warming dish, this classic is an excellent way to feed the family with little effort.

  1. 1. Slice two slices of bread and place in the toaster until lightly browned. Apply butter.
  2. 2. Remove beans from tin and place in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on high for three minutes, stirring halfway through.
  3. 3. Assemble a slice of toasted bread on a plate and spoon over heated beans.

If you're looking for an easy snack on the go, this is an exquisite recipe to give you a boost.

  1. 1. Hold banana around the base and use the protrusion at the top to peel the skin downwards. Continue peeling the skin until enough of the fruit is exposed to consume.
  2. 2. Continue peeling the skin downwards until you have consumed enough of the banana.

  1. 1. Cut the green part off some strawberries and slice in half. Add the slices to a bowl.
  2. 2. Pour double cream over the strawberries.
