TV star Millie Mackintosh, 26, is modelling a dress made with red poppies to launch the #MyPoppy campaign in support of The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal 2015. Hundreds of celebrities are set to take to social media to share why they wear a poppy in an effort to inspire the public to do the same. The unique dress was custom-made for Mackintosh by British fashion designer Giles Deacon, 46, whose original sketch took 72 hours to turn into a lurex wool black dress lined with 100 red silk poppies. Stars from British sport, music, fashion, entertainment and business have all pledged their support for the #MyPoppy campaign as part of this year’s Poppy Appeal. Last year the Poppy Appeal – the biggest cash collection in Europe –raised over £45 million for The Royal British Legion’s ongoing support for those serving in the British Armed Forces, veterans and their families.
