London Fashion Week may be over, the fashion pack moved to Paris and fashion month will be over for another season. But there is one more fashion week on my schedule. St Alban's Fashion Week will be held from 28 October to 3 November 2013.

With a Cathedral Catwalk show to have UK's longest indoor Front Rowon Friday 1st November. The catwalk is along the Nave of the cathedral. It will certainly be stunning and memorable.

St Alban's Fashion Week is brought to the city by stylist and fashion blogger Ellena Ophira of the blog Style in My City. It is also supported by fashionistas Angela Clarke (fashion columnist and author) and Deryane Tadd (owner of award-winning boutique The Dressing Room and 5 times Drapers Awards Winner)

I can't wait to see labels including Marc Cain, Day Birker Et Mikkelson, Luke Lovely, American Vintage, J-Brand, Current Elliot, Topshop Show stopping Bridal sequence with gowns from Jenny Packham, Sassi Holford and Susanne Neville. The cathedral will be the perfect setting for the first-ever fashion week.

The Cathedral has the longest nave of any Cathedral in the UK, including Westminster Abbey and St Paul's, and perhaps even in Europe, and this will be transformed into the ultimate catwalk venue.

"From the moment I started Style in my City, I wanted to organise a city wide fashion show, but from there the idea just grew and grew," says Ellena.

St Alban's is a gorgeous town and very popular with commuters; the style of London seeps into this spectacular community and St Alban's is a very stylish place.

As well as the catwalk show on the 1st November there will be numerous events during St Alban's Fashion Week including a VIP dinner with 'Confessions of a Fashionista' author Angela Clarke, who will also be hosting a reading of her book, in one of St Alban's top restaurants.

Retailers in the town are working together to create one off events that are special to Fashion Week.

These will include:

  • Style make overs
  • Street Style catwalk and photo walls around town
  • Pop up beauty parlours
  • Drop in style booths
  • Late night shopping with fizz
  • Styling Masterclasses
  • Food and drink Retailers will also offer discounts/special offers throughout that week, so that it becomes an all-inclusive City wide event.

St Albans Fashion Week will run from the 28th October to 3rd November 2013, with the Fashion Show in the Cathedral (a ticket only event) on 1 November. It will culminate in a Fashion and Beauty Awards Ceremony at St Michael's Manor Hotel, St Albans, on Sunday 3rd November.Money made from the first St Albans Fashion Week will be divided between four local charities.
