It’s safe to say that 2014 was the ‘Year of the Selfie’, with celebrities taking the craze to a whole new level. Now it seems that this social media phenomenon is making its way into the animal kingdom, with the most social animals at Edinburgh Zoo getting in on the act. HTC placed RE cameras in the animals’ enclosures, hoping to capture spontaneous, unexpected moments in their day, and left them to their own devices. While the HTC RE is easy to use, even the zoo keepers were surprised at how quickly the animals got to grips with the camera – turning the #animalselfie trend into #zoofies. Koala Kardashian mastered the art of taking the perfect selfie, while Lion-el Ritchie and Tiger Tempah couldn’t quite get their paws around the device.
