Staring at the M6 all day must get a little monotonous so this little fella decided to brighten the day slightly for operators at the Highways Agency.

The lime-green parakeet stopped to indulge in that ever-growing trend - the animal selfie.

The normally tropical parakeets are actually q relatively common sight in the southern parts of the country as a large population has grown from birds escaping from homes and pet shops.
