Roy Hodgson has been in Biggin Hill opening a new state-of-the-art 3G football pitch at Charles Darwin School, Jail Lane. The 67-year-old Croydon-born boss was accompanied at the event by the head coach of the England Women's team Mark Sampson. Work on the third generation (3G) pitch has just been completed following the school’s successful bid for funding from the Premier League and the FA Facilities Fund.
