A GIRAFFE has died after reportedly hitting its head on a motorway bridge while being transported in Centurion, South Africa. This photograph shows the two giraffe being transported, shortly before the accident occurred. Eyewitnesses claimed to have seen the giraffe hit its head, but the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has so far only confirmed that the giraffe died as a result of head trauma. The SPCA are continuing their investigations, with criminal charges possibly to follow against those responsible.
