'Best Snowboarder Ever' Shaun White Achieves Perfect Score At Winter X Games 2012 (VIDEO)

WATCH: Snowboarder Shaun White Achieves Perfect Score At Winter X-Games 2012

It's been a pretty incredible Winter X Games so far. We've seen a snowmobile front flip, a 120ft fall and now this, Shaun White pulling off a perfect score and winning his fifth superpipe gold medal... in a row.

Star of his own computer game series Shaun White Snowboarding, numerable films and, well, snowboarding itself, White is by far and away the best snowboarder in the business, the Tony Hawk and Kelly Slater of scooting down an ice-covered half-pipe.

All this, and he was recovering from an ankle injury, on top of his congenital heart defect. Honestly, the man's a legend. A living, curly-haired, incredibly talented legend.

His heroic status has been firmly set in stone with this latest feat, winning his 12th gold with an incredible run that saw him pull off a "18-foot backside air, a frontside double cork 1080, a Cab double cork 1080, a frontside stalefish 540, a double McTwist 1260 and the frontside double cork 1260" - according to ESPN.com.

Speaking to the press afterwards, White said: "It's unreal. I've been wanting that 100 forever. Thank you so much, everybody, tonight. I came here on a mission: I couldn't compete in slope and it kind of broke me. I didn't know what to do. I was sitting around icing my ankle wondering if I could even ride tonight, and I kind of took out a little bit of that anxiety and anger that I couldn't compete in slope in the pipe tonight."

And here's us, content to just not fall over on a snowboard. Mr. White, we salute you. Oh, and if you think Shaun's talents are limited to just the snowboarding department, here's a clip of him nailing it on a skateboard at last year's regular X Games:
