Tineke Meirink is a Dutch illustrator - and her Stop:watch picture series is all about getting us to look at everyday things in a whole new way.

Meirink takes photos of apparently uninteresting items - such as litter and bird-droppings - and adds a minimal illustration digitally. "That way these photos get a whole different meaning, they come to life," explains her website. "She hopes it makes people realise that everything has its beauty and that it is just more fun to take a closer look."
