This week, Sharon Olds won the TS Eliot Prize - the biggest award for poetry in the UK - with her stunning collection 'Stag's Leap' (read our interview with Sharon Olds here).

She emerged victorious from a shortlist that was as eclectic as it was enjoyable, from Simon Armitage's stirring translation of a 15th century poem to Sean Borodale's vivid documentary pieces about bee-keeping to Paul Farley's often hilarious and always profound collection The Dark Film.

Every year on the eve of the winner announcement, the 10 shortlisted poets congregate at London Southbank Centre to give a reading from their book.

An audience of over 2,000 people enjoyed listening to Gillian Clarke (reading from 'Ice'), Julia Copus ('The World's Two Smallest Humans'), Jorie Graham ('P L A C E'), Kathleen Jamie ('The Overhaul'), Jacob Polley ('The Havocs'), Deryn Rees-Jones ('Burying the Wren') as well as Armitage ('The Death of King Arthur'), Borodale (Bee Journal) and Farley.

For those that missed what is undoubtedly one of the cultural highlights of the year, we've got the recordings from the TS Eliot Prize readings for you to enjoy at your leisure.
