UK Weather: Britons Bask In Spring Temperatures (PICTURES)

PICTURES: Spring Has Sprung!

Office workers in the capital spent Thursday lunchtime basking in the sunshine as tempratures soared to 19 degrees.

Three-year-old Kadie Leigh Koch also welcomed the warm weather, as she played among the daffodils in Whitley Bay, near Newscastle.

Across the UK, however, Britons weren't so lucky with rain in the north. The Met Office has said that most of us will enjoy mild conditions with some patchy drizzle and low clouds.

But tomorrow in the east it should brighten and turn mild. The Met Office predicted "occasional heavy rain in northwestern UK edging southeast, allowing late brightness in northwestern parts."
