Nick Bennett - Largest Collection of James Bond Memorabilia(01 of10)

47-year-old Nick Bennett from Leigh in Lancashire, UK, has secured his place in the Guinness World Records book for having the Largest Collection James Bond Memorabilia, a staggering 12, 463 items at last count! Since seeing his first James Bond film at 7 years of age Nick has had a fascination with the Bond franchise. However, it was only upon the release of the film ‘Goldeneye’, aged 28, that he actively began to collect memorabilia. Like a villain out of the Bond stories, Nick has a “secret lair” where he houses his collection – away from prying eyes and the constant discussion of his friends. On making it into the Guinness World Records book he says “It’s a dream come true. As a child I read the book from cover to cover and I cannot believe that I will actually be in this year’s book as an official record holder - pinch me!”
Nancy Siefker - Farthest arrow shot using feet(02 of10)

One of the most unique records to make it into this year’s book has been achieved by 26 year old Nancy Siefker from California, USA. The circus artist has combined her skills in contortionism and archery to set a new record for the Furthest Arrow Shot Using Feet. Nancy is able to shoot an arrow onto a target measuring 5.5 inches in diameter, from a distance of 6.09m (20ft). Nancy spends hours practicing shooting every day and has already started planning new foot tricks: “I’m trying it with other weapons right now. Knives and ninja stars. It's a little more dangerous...”
Yannick Read - Smallest Caravan(03 of10)

43 year-old Yannick Read’s entry is arguably the most British of all the records in the new book. The website writer and part time inventor from London has built the world’s Smallest Caravan. The vehicle, which is fully roadworthy, measures 2.39m (7 ft 10.9 in) in length, 1.53 m (5 ft 0.24 in) high and 0.79 m (2 ft 7.9 in) wide. Named the ‘QTvan’, it’s fully equipped with a full size bed, interior lighting, TV, sink and a kettle. The caravan weighs 131.1 kg (289.03 lb's). In spite of its size, the caravan is surprisingly comfortable and Yannick has been on mini-breaks around the UK in it. Yannick says that thing he enjoys most about his creation is “the smiles from people who see me towing it along the road.” He is now making plans to make more tiny record-breaking creations – “watch this space!”
Nick Stoeberl - Longest Tongue(04 of10)

24-year-old Nick Stoeberl from California is recognised for the extraordinary length of his tongue, which measures 10.1cm (3.97in) from its tip to the middle of the closed top lip, making it the Longest Tongue in the world. Nick’s father was “a huge fan of KISS” and as a child Nick would imitate Gene Simmons’ infamous tongue pose, realising for the first time that his tongue was longer than others. Nick loves the attention his tongue receives announcing that “I’m not only able to lick my nose, but also my elbow!” He says that the only downside is “that I have to spend longer brushing my tongue in the morning.” The achievement breaks the record of Brit Stephen Taylor (9.8 cm) who has held the title since 2002.
Beth Johnson - Largest Yo-Yo(05 of10)

If some record-breakers, like Nick Stoeberl, are born, then others are definitely made. This is the case for Beth Johnson from Ohio, USA, who has built the Largest Yo-Yo in the world. The colossal construction measures 3.65m (11ft 9in) in diameter with a weight of 2095.6kg (4,620lb). Beth, who owns her own heating and air-conditioning company, says that she started the build with the simple intention of “creating something better and bigger than anyone else had done before.” The Yo-Yo took a year and a half to complete, and is fully operational. Beth doesn’t regret the time and money spent on the construction stating that “Everyone thought I was crazy but I didn't care. I‘m not a quitter. Anything worth doing, is worth doing right.”

49 year-old Dane, Karsten Maas, makes it into the book’s hallowed pages for creating the world’s Longest Usable Golf Club. It measures 4.37m (14ft 5 in) in length and has been used to drive a ball a distance of 165.46m (542ft 10,16 in) at the ‘Golf in Wall’ in Wall, Germany. Karsten, a golf professional and ‘Trick Golf Artist’ says that although he’s very proud of his record-breaking club, there won’t be much chance of seeing him on the green with it – “The weight and length of the club make striking the ball really exhausting. Plus I don’t have a caddy!”
